How this program works
Science Lab is offered as part of our weekly STEM labs and special school-break camps. Each lab block includes at least one hands-on experiment plus discovery stations that match our current theme.
- Weekly labs: Science experiments are woven into our regular after-school schedule, especially during Engineering & Building themes.
- School’s Out / Holiday camps: Longer days let us run bigger, messier experiments and rotating lab stations.
- Memberships: Science labs are included with all weekly memberships (1 day, 3 days, or Unlimited).
What kids do in Science Lab
Activities change with our themes, but may include:
- Chemistry-style reactions (safe foams, fizzing, and color-changing mixtures).
- Physics demos with force, motion, and simple machines.
- Earth science and weather investigations (storms, rocks, soil, and water flow).
- Light and color labs using lenses, prisms, and shadow experiments.
- “Mini scientist” stations for measuring, pouring, and recording observations.
We focus on curiosity and discovery. Kids are encouraged to ask “What will happen if…?” and see the results first-hand.
Skills they build
- Understanding cause-and-effect, not just memorizing facts.
- Learning to make predictions and compare them with real results.
- Using simple data: counting, comparing, and noticing patterns.
- Building confidence to try, test, and try again when something doesn’t work the first time.
- Working safely with simple lab tools (goggles, droppers, beakers, and measuring tools).
