Math & Logic Lab

Strategy games, puzzles, and brain challenges that quietly build math confidence, number sense, and problem-solving skills — without feeling like homework.

Ages 5–12 Games & Puzzles Small Group Stations No Worksheets

How this program works

Math & Logic Lab runs inside our weekly after-school STEM schedule. Kids rotate through hands-on stations that feel like game time, but are carefully chosen to build core math and critical thinking skills.

  • Weekly labs: Offered as one of our regular class blocks on the Weekly STEM Schedule.
  • Memberships: Included with all memberships (1 day, 3 days, and Unlimited). Kids can attend Math & Logic on their chosen days.
  • Camps & specials: Logic and strategy games are also used during School’s Out and Holiday STEM days.

What kids do in Math & Logic Lab

Activities change across the year, but may include:

  • Strategy board games that teach planning, decision-making, and patience.
  • Number puzzles and pattern challenges that strengthen mental math.
  • Logic problems, deduction games, and “can you figure this out?” riddles.
  • Cooperative challenges where the group has to plan a winning strategy together.
  • Quick “brain warm-ups” between stations to keep everyone engaged and focused.

Kids are not sitting with worksheets. They’re moving, talking, and thinking — but the work is disguised as play.

Skills they build

  • Number sense, counting, and basic operations (adding, subtracting, multiplying).
  • Pattern recognition and early algebra-style thinking.
  • Logical reasoning: “if this, then that” style problem solving.
  • Planning ahead, sticking with a challenge, and learning from mistakes.
  • Confidence with math — especially for kids who usually say “I’m just not good at it.”
